Monterotondo is Villa Sparina’s Cru, vinified starting from the best-selected grapes, grown in well-exposed, self-owned historical vines. It is vinified separately with handcrafted methods, and that’s why it is the perfect representation of the relationship between Cortese grapes and terroir. A wine with a great personality, which still presents freshness, minerality, sapidity, acidity, vigorousness, longevity, and elegance.

This wine is an excellent answer to a French Chardonnay because of the mineral component of the territory and the wonderful expression of this indigenous grape variety called Cortese.

A superb wine with an attractive bottle design. Also, the more you age this bottle, the more complex this wine becomes.

What a great wine. For me, this is the answer to a great Burgundy Chardonnay. The minerality and the perfect harmony of this wine make it exceptionally rare. Outstanding from a refined bottle to its content. Once again, a combination of winemaking techniques, soil and grape variety make a wonderful expression of Italian wine.

Tasting

This wine has a straw colour with lovely green highlights. On the nose, it is easy to detect lots of stone and mineral characteristics with the addition of citrus aromas like lemon and grapefruits. The palate is medium body with fresh, crisp acidity and length.

Food pairing

Great pairing with pasta seafood and seafood grilled with lemon and garnished with parsley.
