2015 Gerardo Cesari Jema Corvina Veneto IGT

• 6 bottle of 2015 Gerardo Cesari Jema Corvina Veneto IGT

Made of 100% Corvina, the word Jema derives from the Italian word of ‘gemma’ which means ‘bud of the vine’ and ‘precious gem’. The Corvina grape is the most awarded within the three classic varieties in Valpolicella and Amarone Della Valpolicella wines.

The Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes are blended in various degrees depending on the producer. However, the Corvina is by far the most expensive and has the lowest yield giving the most concentration and complexity to the wine.  For this reason, a great lover of Veneto and Amarone will be undoubtedly pleased with this unique label.

This wine is rare and unique because there are very few wine producers in Valpolicella that make wines purely made with Corvina grapes. For this reason, and for the tremendous organoleptic balance, I consider this wine a great label to be proudly kept in our cellar to be opened and appreciated on a special occasion.
