Paolo Scavino Bricco Ambrogio Barolo DOCG

Enrico Scavino’s experience recognised the quality of this beautiful undiscovered CRU and decided to purchase it in 2001. Luckily, this CRU was the only one of the estate untouched by the intense hail storms in 2002 and debuted as a solo showing with lots of personality and potential even in such a difficult year.

Bricco Ambrogio has an intense and multifaceted aromatic spectrum. The core is soft and polished through a beautiful acid-tannic balance. There is an underlying depth in this Barolo, and the finish is long and nuanced.

This bottle is another fantastic opportunity to try a unique wine from a  small town part of the Barolo appellation. This vineyard, located 275 metres above sea level, shows the beautiful commune of Roddi. The soil composition of Sant’Agata Marl fossil and limestone gives the wine a multifaced aroma profile.
