Paolo Scavino Cannubi Barolo DOCG

This wine takes us to the heart of the Barolo appellation, with vineyards that make wines with more intense garnet colours than the Nebbiolo grape but are still endowed with elegance and excellent structure.

The combination of low yielding and old vines and a particular combination of natural factors make this wine an assuring quality to love and behold. Not produced since 2018, this box is your opportunity to taste this legendary Barolo while we still have them in stock.

Cannubi is a historical vineyard of the Barolo region, in the Barolo village. These vineyards have been used by the family since they were planted in 1946, constituting two of the oldest vineyards of this winery. Located on the crest of Cannubi, these vineyards are 290 metres above sea level and are a combination of Sant’Agata Marl Fossils and Limestone soils.

Wonderful wine with a slightly brick hue, fragrant and rich on the nose with a gorgeous aromatic level. It comes with the purity of fruits such as wild cherries and blackberry mixed with spices and a sweet earthy bouquet. The palate is well balanced by high acidity and tannins, incredible length and an alcoholic warm feeling as an aftertaste.

Food pairing

It pairs well with suckling pig, roasted vegetables and mushroom risotto.
